He and his college roommate Alexis Ohanian met Y Combinator co-founder and programmer-entrepreneur Paul Graham after seeing him speak in Boston, Massachusetts, during their final year of college. The notion of creating a phone-based food-ordering system called “My Mobile Menu,” abbreviated as “MMM,” was rejected since there were not enough individuals using mobile phones to access the internet. Graham, though, asked them back for another start-up concept he termed the “front page of the Internet” while they were on their way home.

As a result, in just three weeks, REDDIT was born. The site started quite basic, but it quickly became the backbone of their operation. They both found enormous success on Reddit.
