Leo Movie Review

Parthiban (Vijay) is a baker and animal rescuer in a remote Himalayan village. Chintu, his son Siddharth (Matthew Thomas), and his wife Sathya (Trisha) are a happy, loving family. Parthiban is a peaceful man who adores becoming a father. When five robbers unexpectedly enter his bakery, Parthiban’s aggressive nature comes out, and he kills them all.

This initial event causes a chain reaction that ultimately disrupts Parthiban’s life. After the tragedy, the plot shifts to Telangana, where we meet Anthony Das (Sanjay Dutt) and Harold Das (Arjun Das), the company’s leaders. Parthiban looks like Leo Das, Harold’s son. In his quest for vengeance, Harold travels to Himachal Pradesh in search of him.

Leo isn’t Lokesh Kanagaraj’s finest hour; the second half drags and needs to do a better job of connecting the story’s past and present events. Nevertheless, the film has some memorable sequences, such as the opening raid on a government official’s home by vicious gangsters or the unforgiving rampage of an aggressive spotted hyena.

The film’s editing is very dynamic, and the cinematography is often breathtaking. The wide vistas and quick cuts that occur when Steven (Joseph Fiennes) escapes from prison and sprints from barbed wire fences into a clearing make for a thrilling experience.

Leo does an excellent job of showcasing Thalapathy Vijay’s acting chops. Vijay’s acting and the well-staged action sequences in the opening half keep viewers interested.

Despite a ludicrous battle involving a mafia boss who sacrifices his daughter out of superstition, Kanagaraj manages some stunning stunts in its climax. For instance, “Leo” achieves its epic size through techniques like dramatic camera work and the reappearance of characters from earlier films, which can leave viewers speechless.
