The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 results were made public by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. You can find the results on the official website, gate.iitk.ac.in.

The test was given in eight sessions on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. About 6.70 million students signed up for GATE 2023, but only about 5.17 million showed up for the test. About one million people were able to get into the GATE 2023. The number of people who passed was almost 18 percent.

The tests were given in over 500 locations nationwide, and 77 percent of people showed up. GATE 2023 was given in 29 different fields; in some, candidates could choose between two papers. This year, 25 percent of those who turned in the Metallurgical engineering paper were qualified.

Candidates who make the shortlist are accepted into master’s and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, architecture, science, and the arts. They can also be hired by the Public Sector Undertakings of the country (PSUs). To check their GATE Result 2023, candidates must enter their registration ID, email address, enrollment ID, and password. The GATE 2023 result was posted on www.gate.iitk.ac.in on March 16, 2023.

How Will GATE Marks Be Calculated?

After the answers are graded, the candidate’s actual (raw) marks will be used to determine their GATE 2023 score. For papers (subjects) with more than one session, the candidates’ raw scores from the different sessions will be turned into normalized scores for that subject. So, the qualifying marks will be used to determine the GATE score for 2023. For single-session papers, the raw marks will be used. For multi-session papers, the normalized marks will be used.

GATE 2023 Scorecard

Qualified candidates can use GATE 2023 to log in through GOAPS and download their GATE scorecards. The GATE 2023 scorecard lists the marks earned, the candidate’s All India rank, the normalized score, and other information. Only people who score at or above the minimum qualifying cut-off for GATE 2023 will be called “Qualified” and can apply for admissions or jobs.

Candidates are told to keep their GATE scorecards for future use since they can only be used for M.Tech admissions for three years after the GATE results are released. This may only be true for PSU recruitment if the job posting says so. Follow the steps below to get the scorecard for GATE 2023:
