The Telugu version of Godfather is based on the Malayalam film Lucifer (2019). Mohan Raja wrote the script and directed the film. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Nayanthara, Puri Jagannadh, Satyadev, and many others appear in this flick. The Ghost, starring Superstar Nagarjuna, competes with The Godfather. The current trend indicates that around 7 crores have been booked in advance for the Godfather movie in India. However, advance booking for the Hindi version has been disappointing, at less than 50 lakhs. Reports indicate that more than 2000 theatres in India are showing the new “Godfather” film. Fewer than a thousand theatres are showing Godfather in Hindi.

Over 1700 theatres worldwide have shown the film, including 715 in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 540 in the rest of India, and 450+ in the international market.

From the looks of ticket sales, this movie has a shot at becoming one of the year’s largest Telugu openings and maybe the greatest blockbuster overall. If the film receives favourable reviews from audiences, experts predict it might gross between Rs 20 crore and Rs 25 crore on its opening day. If the film has a few good weeks, it might end up with lifetime earnings of around Rs 150–200 crore.

Godfather hasn’t sold nearly as many tickets in advance as Chiranjeevi’s last movie, Acharya, which opened to over 15 crores. However, Godfather has earned over $6.5 million (or more than 6.5 crores) from ticket sales alone. Preliminary estimates place its opening weekend gross in the Telugu states, excluding rentals, at between 13 and 15 crores.
